Crazy customers in record shops

A rather excited gentleman came in one day and asked for a CD out of the window. He explained that it would be a perfect gift for his friends but before he purchased it he would like to have a quick listen. The shop owner  was happy to oblige and put the CD on the player. It was titled Heather and Glen and was a collection of Scottish folk songs and music from Aberdeenshire and the Hebrides collected by the celebrated musicologist Alan Lomax.

The man did not seem to be appreciating the work of Alan Lomax and it was no surprise when he told the shop owner that his friends would not like the album. Keen to obtain a sale the shop owner asked the man what sort of music they liked as if he was looking for a gift then he was sure he would stock something suitable.” Not unless it is called Glenn and Heather as that is the name of my friends he replied. He was buying the CD on the basis that it had the same name as his friends.

American customer – Hi do you have any CDs in by Stella Jones?

Shop – I will just check our computer database for you

After searching for a few minutes with no look he tells the customer that he as he is American he will check the USA database as well in case Stella released something there. After a few minutes he says to the American customer. “I am sorry but their is nothing listed worldwide for Stella Jones. If you tell me what radio station you heard it on I can contact them and get the details”.

American customer – Oh I never heard her on the radio. I sat next to her in High school 20 years ago and she had the most amazing voice. I was convinced she would have made a CD by now.
